try this. Turn On the car (do not start it, just turn key on) shift gear to N then turn off the car and wait for 15 seconds. Shift gear to P turn on the car (do not start just turn key on) wait for 15 seconds then turn off key and turn on again, shift gear to N the car will give you message Transmission Ready.

UK/Ireland Location: Fife. Posted July 30, 2014. The glow plugs may come on but they are not needed on a warm engine to get it started. A common rail diesel will start from cold without glow plugs even at low temperatures. The glow plugs coming on when warm will only be to help get the emissions down quicker.
Then I tried to start it again. Everything worked the first time and the second time, but the third time it did not start again. And now it won't start no matter what I try. Got advice from a Ford dealership to switch to two relays, it did not work. The battery that was new last year has been tested and works. Everything else works, light

So protect yourself. Then check the glowplugs are actually getting power. Make sure the battery is fully charged also, a weak battery will just make it harder to get running. The MAF sensor fault may prevent it starting if it doesnt know how much fuel to inject.
